General Assembly 17.3.16

The final general assembly for Term one occurred on the 17th of March. The assembly commenced with the National Anthem performed by the Symphonic Wind Band conducted by Mr Martin West. Singing the National Anthem was Nick Whittaker.

The Symphonic Wind Band then performed "Selections from the Incredible" and "Earth Wind and Fire in Concert".

The 2016 School captains, Bianca Pardo and Max Schepisi were then welcomed to the stage to conduct the assembly.

Mrs Binnion addressed the school in her always inspiring principals address.

Sarah Mullane, President of the Student Representative council talked about her important role this year.

There were a number of awards presented including the Sport awards presented by the Gilmore house captains, Phoebe Ponsford and Jesse Maxfield. Mrs Sweeney then presented the Science Olympiad awards and Ms Schmidt presented the winner of the house public speaking competition.  As well, Ms Kuriata presented the peoples choice award from the Art show with a promotional video and former student, Jack Highnam then promoted the new running club at McKinnon "Run MCK".

Mr Evans concluded the assembly.
