Alliance Francaise French Film Festival

On Friday 11 March, seventy-two Year 9 French students along with their teachers set off to Como Cinema in South Yarra. The aim of this outing was to see a French film ‘Belle and Sebastien’ in order to enhance students’ French cultural knowledge and communication skills. The movie is set in September 1945, when everybody is celebrating the end of the war. A young, 10-year-old Sebastien waits with his faithful dog Belle for the return of a friend called Angelina who went missing in the French Alps after a plane crash. On their mission to locate Angelina, both Sebastien and Belle must face peril, risk their lives and confront a secret. The movie was action-packed, exciting and moving. With great characters, spectacular scenery and one very gorgeous dog the French box-office hit certainly entertained our Year 9 students.

After the movie students had time to buy themselves un casse-croƻte pour le dejeuner before our return back to school. All Year 9 students are to be commended for their excellent behaviour on the day.
