Cara's Education Trust Victorian Leadership Award

This year I was fortunate enough to be the recipient of a "2000 Education Trust Victorian Leadership Award". I was contacted by the Department of Education late last year and was invited to Government House on the 18th of May of this year, to receive my award along with other past and present students who were also receiving recognition for their leadership contributions. The award recognizes excellence in ;

-School leadership programs
-Communication, problem solving and organization
-School promotion, and
-Team leading.

The award was from the Education Trust of Victoria and was presented by Victoria's governor, Mr. John Landy.

I was lucky enough to be able to meet and converse with the governor after the ceremony. I was also fortunate enough to able to bring 2 guests: I brought my mum and dad. Afterwards we were free to look around the spectacular rooms of Government House while being served finger food and listening to music performed by Melbourne High School students. It was a memorable afternoon that was highly enjoyable.
