After practising for about a month in our lunch
hours, and sneaking extra practices from obliging teachers in class
time, the day finally arrived on Wednesday 4th April. Each
House had to present 3 items, a Set Song, "We Go Together"
from Grease, their own choice part song, and an instrumental number.
Flynn House, all dressed in their yellow house
colours began the competition. They sang "Don't Stop Me Now"
from Queen and their instrumental number was from the film Pulp Fiction,
Miserlou by Dick Dale and his Deltones
Gilmore, in red, sang "Let me Entertain
You" and the instrumental item was "Theme from Mission Impossible"
Monash House sang a gospel number, "I
still haven't found what I'm looking for", with solos form Rhona
Distajo and John Harrop. They chose to do a 'samba' for their instrumental
item.
In blue, Chisholm
sang Respect, and performed "Take Me On" from Real Big Fish
