About the Night of the Notables
The Night of the Notables is an event that occurs annually. Students from all year levels can volunteer to take part in it. Each student picks a notable person to research. They choose someone who they think is special and try to present their findings in a fun and interesting way. The students are allowed to work in pairs if they wish to. Each week the students meet up with their staff mentor to discuss how they are going along with their work and the staff try to help them present the notable in an interesting and smart way. The students try to gather as much information as possible because when they are presenting themselves they have to try to answer the questions the audience asks them. Their task is to act like the person he or she is researching while they relate their story to the audience.
