SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH AWARDS OCTOBER 22, 2001

 

 

 

To celebrate 50 years of Student Scientific Enquiry, a group of students went to LaTrobe University to collect their Major or Minor Bursary awards.  They had the opportunity to view other student’s work and explained what their project was all about to interested onlookers. Depending on the category they entered, they received between $50-$25 — see? Science does Pay!

Here is the list of students and what they achieved:

Chris Koch $25 for his poster on Solar Energy

Annie Milo $40 for her Win-Dangered Species game

Jessica Lang & Melissa Sirianos $40 for their Quicks of the Earth game

David Heymann $30 for his Cancer Attack game

Debbie Hurwitz $30 for her Conservation Conversation Game

Andrew Nisbit $50 for his model of a Dredge

Michael Seddon $35 for his Boom gate model

In the Essay area there were 3 students who received awards:

Adam Singer $25 for his essay on Genetics

Anna Kozlova $35 for her essay on DNA living in Bacteria

Anna Rudiger $35 for her essay on a DNA Molecule

Other students achieved Certificates of Merit and Credit.  You will receive these at year level assemblies.
