The 2003 House Music Festival once more burst upon
McKinnon this year, but with a difference. Only the participants and
year sevens were present for the event.
However, even with the diminished audience numbers, the traditional
tension and excitement was still there.
All Houses are to be congratulated on their efforts and the quality
of their performance. It was good to see, and hear the enthusiasm
of the participants.
The Adjudicator, Ms Jenny Mathers, judged Gilmore to be the winning
House on the day with their choral and instrumental items.
This year the festival occurred over several weeks, and students performed
for points for their House. So with the extended participation of
the solo performances in the preceding weeks, Gilmore also won the
aggregate score of the Festival.
Gilmore gained 155 points, Monash 154, Flynn 140 and Chisholm 128.
It certainly was a close claa between the leading Houses.
Well Done(!) to all Houses and particularly the House Music Captains
for their hardwork.
