HOUSE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2004 |
Tuesday, 24 March 2004. 7:45 pm The annual House Music Festival this year was held in the evening, instead of the school day. As in previous years, McKinnon's houses battled with each other to present set and self-chosen songs to the audience. It was a great success! All the items in the competition were well-rehearsed, and it was obvious the singers, dancers and instrumental players enjoyed themselves immensely. Highlights of the evening were Gilmore's Steppin Out, Monash's "Tropical Fruit Salad" - a medley of Watermelon Man, Cantaloupe Island and Tequila, and Chisholm's rendition of Scarborough Fair. Showstoppers included Timewarp from the Rocky Horror Show, Footloose and the all singing all dancing medley of songs from Grease. Final results: Gilmore: 90 Pam Keenan, Music Learning Area Manager |
