Beachside Interschool Swimming Carnival

4 March 2004

Congratulations to the McKinnon super Swimmers ! I t was a whole team effort at the Beachside Carnival held on March 4th at the Caulfield Pool. Although we only won 7 events, the whole team rallied and made sure there was a McKinnon Swimmer in lane 6 in every event. The U13/14 girls blitzed the competition and won the overall aggregate for junior girls.

The team consisted of : Gail Humphreys, Kirsty Landman,Nicole Round, Maddie Begala, Heidi Begala,Katie Washfold and Jayde Shorter. All the McKinnon swimmers did us proud and our girls and boys teams had great depth from Junior and Intermediate through to Senior teams. This great team spirit enabled us to come 2nd overall in the Beachside Carnival - the best result in years!
