Germany is awesome. Everyone is really nice and we have had good weather. For the last three days it has been snowing, which is totally cool. We have had some snowball fights, which are really fun.. Most of the Germans are bagging the Aussies because we are so happy when it snows, we’re like little kids in a candy store.. My host family are really nice and have welcomed me with open arms. Although they keep trying to force-feed me. Oh, and if you want to go to a public toilet, you have to pay!

Germany is awesome, if you get the chance to go on exchange, take it. School is different but it is a lot of fun. You do many things with your host parents, if they ask you if you want to go someplace, just go coz it’ll always turn out fun.

Germany owns Australia: they have snow, Maxim, and so much cake. Also, no drought, and everything is green and not ugly. There is however, an overabundance of bling and pointy shoes.
Hunter and I buy cake every day, and sometimes twice in one day. It’s the best.

Germany has been completely awesome! Everyone here is incredibly friendly and the family which I’m staying with loves to feed me (like every two minutes!).
The chocolates here taste so much better than back at home (mostly coz it’s fresher). My family took me to Edersee, which was absolutely breathtaking, like nothing we have in Australia. It’s been snowing, and we had the best snow-ball fight (in which I got my arse kicked, and ended up with snow down my back!).
In short, I don’t wanna leave!

Overall, Germany is GREAT.
There is snow, cute little German kids that make you nice cards, nice food, lots and LOTS of chocolate. The people are really friendly and the parties are fantastic.
There is so much to see and to learn and most things have some kind of interesting background to them.
It’s awesome making new friends, German and Australian.
Tschüs, kussi, - Anna
I’m having a lot of fun in Germany. Everything is amazing. Snow in villages is an evreyday thing, it’s awesome. It’s all green too, it’s amzing. My host family took me to Berlin – it’s an amazing place to visit, everyone should go and see it. The castles are also really awesome to visit. Everything about overseas is amazing, even the twenty-four hour flight.

So much food, Döner, chocolate and sausages. Every drink has bubbles – water, apple juice etc.
I made the whole family (my host family) tiger toast and they loved it!
Snow is the best, and now everyone in Germany goes for the mighty Richmond Tigers.
They also have Triple Whoppers!

Deutschland ist geil.
How to fit in at school:
* Say “Schultz” and put your hand to your head when you or someone else burps. If you don’t, you’ll get hit on the forehead.
* Eat at every single break.
* Wear jeans
* Let everyone know what music you are playing.
Remember 10 cents for the public toilets

Snow is way better than drought. Germany has way more snow and Maxim – it’s the best.
Tucking your pants into your socks is geil.
The cake is das Beste überhaupt.
- Hunter
Collllldddd! Snow!!!!!! My German partner’s family is so nice, the people at school are so nice, the scenery is amazing and the parties awesome. – I don’t want to leave!Deutschland ist geil!

I am having a lot of fun in Germany – the snow is great until it melts into a brown slush. Fresh snow is good for throwing at people, at Cecilia in particular. I love finishing school at 1:20pm and the free time this gives you. I also enjoy living in a small town and the fact that they are so close together.

Snowball fights are very fun apart from the fact that your toes almost fall off and you can’t feel your hands either. Snow in general is amazing but it hurts when you slip over on it. My family is really nice althought my partner’s brother thinks I’m some kind of alien species and doesn’t stop taking pictures of me and staring at me.
Public toilets cost money to use.

How to… be a gangsta in Germany:
* The most important thing is to tuck your pants into your socks.
* You have to let everyone know what music you are listening to by playing it out loud as you walk down the street.
* Never ask anyone how they are, instead ask them what’s going on.
* If you are a guy you have to spit all the time. Approximately every five steps if you’re cool enough.

The meals are a lot different – every meal generally has bread in it. It is really cold and it snows. The chocolate is extremely cheap and delicious.
- Sarah
The main meal is at lunch after school finishes. You can see other villages from your village, it is 2km from mine to the next one. Most of the houses look similar.

I have found that the Germans eat a lot of food., such as Döner, Pommes, and heaps of hot food for lunch.
I’m having a lot of fun here in Germany. The scenery is so green with the forest virtually right next to us. Also having snow is a lot of fun, especially throwing it at people. The best food here is the sausages, Döner, and the chocolates. Everything is great here. Even finishing school at 1:20pm is better than Australia. There is so much free time.
