Year 12 French Camp 2009 |
These are the pictures from the Year 12 French immersion weekend that occurred between Friday 2nd of October-Monday 5th October. The camp took place in Betley, near Castlemaine in a B&B called Cumberland House. Students did practice orals, a practice written exam, some practice listening and cooked French recipes like Tarte Flambé from Alsace and crêpes from Brittany, following the instructions of the two teachers. Both Mrs Zimmermann and Fanny Billiard, our French assistante for 2009, accompanied the students and students spoke in French in many different situations. Students most loved the bike riding and discovery of the local Goldrush area, including Dunolly, thanks to the tour organised by the owner of Cumberland House, Ian De Lacy, and the cooking, but learned also many new expressions along the way and fine-tuned their exam skills in a new environment. The bonfire at night was also very popular! We wish the French class every success for its upcoming French oral examination!
