ARTS KEY LEARNING AREA

Welcome to the McKinnon Secondary College Art website. Here you will find pictures of all staff and their E-Mails, photos from Art excursions and all Art Shows as well as the Arts Course Information Guide.

Art at McKinnon Secondary College is a core subject for Year 7 and in Year 8 core subjects include Art, 3D Art, Ceramics and Visual Communication. These can all be chosen as elective subjects in Years 9 and 10, as well as Drama. VCE subjects offered in Years 11 and 12 include Media, Visual Communication and Design, Studio Arts and Theatre Studies.

As part of the Arts, McKinnon Secondary College has taken part in designing murals for both the McKinnon Accident Repair Centre and McKinnon Railway Station.

There are Annual Art Shows at McKinnon Secondary College in which we showcase the talents and artworks of McKinnon Arts students, as well as a Drama Night each semester. We also hold an Annual Film Festival each October.
