Prepare your trip
As your first entry, describe your preparations for the trip. These should include:
• 1Which hotel will you stay at? What is the address?
• 2How will you travel once you are in Paris? Investigate and briefly describe how the "Metro" and the "RER" work.
• 3Research what there is to see and to do in Paris. Make a list of 12-15 places of interest and mark them on a map of Paris. (You may find the Internet very useful for this section).
Your stay in Paris
Day 1: On your first day in Paris you
will be very tired because of the long plane flight. Describe how you got to your hotel
from the Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport and what your hotel looks like. You could
insert a picture of the hotel room here.
Day 2:You start out early and you spend the day sight-seeing, ending with an excellent meal at a little bistro. Write your diary entry for this day. Describe where you went and give a brief description of what you thought of each place visited (at least 3 places). Record what you ate at the bistro and what you thought of that experience.
Day 3: You go to visit two of the most famous landmarks of Paris, the Tour Eiffel and the Arc de Triomphe. Write about these monuments in detail, recording such facts as when were they built, by whom, their historical significance, and any other interesting aspects of them.
Day 4: You and your family have decided to visit the Louvre. Write about this very famous museum.
Day 5: In the morning you get up early and you go shopping. Which shops did you go to? What did you buy? As the weather is so wonderful, you have a picnic lunch at one of the famous gardens in Paris. You can go to Le Parc Citröen, Le Parc Georges Brassens or Le Parc zoologique amongst many.
Day 6: You visit historic Paris. L île de la Cité which is the heart of Paris. Here stands the cathedral of Notre Dame. Describe this very famous landmark.
Day 7: As your plane does not leave until the evening, you have time to pack and have a leisurely lunch in a typical French restaurant. Describe this experience.
