The Scientific Use of Police Forces |
On November 10th 2003, two Constable came out From Moorabbin Police station to talk to us about Force and Motion. This is a major part of the course we study at year 10 Science. They discussed how different methods of determining speed of cars have been taken over the years, then we got to use their Lasar gun to determine the speed of the cars coming along McKinnon road.
It was funny to see so many cars slow down as soon as they saw us aiming our Radar Gun at them! They discussed how far away you should be behind cars as you drive as well as careers in the Police force. It was very informative.
