McKinnon Secondary
College: Sport
House System A House System operates at McKinnon Secondary College to encourage a sense of belonging and school spirit, provide leadership opportunities and promote interaction between students of all levels. New students are allocated to one of the four houses. Siblings are placed in the same house. The major emphasis of the House System is student involvement and participation, and to achieve these goals carnivals are held in the following sports: Swimming, Cross country and Athletics. Each Carnival has a theme which allows students to participate in a variety of fun ways and thus gain enjoyment and points for their House.
You can usually see the house captains being awarded their badges at the
webpages showing the first general assembly of each year. |
