Year 7 Fieldwork Excursion

Year 7 C & G were treated to a big day out on Friday with a rather 'whiffy' trip to the Werribee Treatment Plant.

Students were shown how sewage is turned into Grade A recycled water and 'pootricity' is used to power the plant by capturing methane.

They put together a giant jigsaw of the Yarra River catchment and discovered how we can make our cities more liveable and sustainable by adding rain gardens, roof gardens and porous pavement to our cities by building a city using lego.
