Victorian Beach Volleyball Championships

The event is held annually and attracts teams from both public and private schools to fight it out for the right to call themselves the outright best school team for their age in Victoria.
Over three days of competition on South Melbourne Beach we saw a beautiful representation of Melbourne weather experiencing everything from extreme heat to rain and gusts of wind up to 80km/h.
Last year McKinnon finished the event as the 21st ranked school overall in Victoria. In this years tournament Mckinnon has climbed to 4th overall showing the amount of work the McKinnon students have put into their weekly training before school over the past year.
Team success was found by:
Year 7 boys- 2nd ranked team in Victoria
Year 7 girls- 2nd ranked team in Victoria
Year 8 girls- 2nd ranked team in Victoria
Year 8 boys- 3rd ranked team in Victoria
Year 9 boys- 3rd ranked team in Victoira
Year 11 girls- Victorian Champions
The McKinnon Volleyball Squad will now be training for the Victorian All Schools Indoor Championships that will be held early in term three.
