SENIOR GIRLS CRICKET

The Senior Girls Cricket team started their 2018 campaign in great fashion last Tuesday against Parkdale. Losing the toss, McKinnon set a target of 93 for Parkdale to win. Lilly Felder started finely with the bat, but was unfortunately run out. Jemma Owen and Emma Hattingh also batted well and good starts from Emily Cartledge and Tess McCartney helped to steer the girls to a strong position.

The McKinnon girls were all fantastic in the field. There was enthusiasm, great backing up and excellent camaraderie. Brilliant catching from Jemma and beautiful run outs from Lilly were highlights. But the bowling accuracy of Lara Van Zyl gave her figures of 3/2 from two overs which hopefully transpires into many more wickets from her this season!

The girls were a delight to coach and I look forward to the next game to come on Tuesday 27 February. Good luck girls!
