Second Campus for McKinnon Secondary College

Today was a significant day for McKinnon Secondary College and one to be celebrated.  

Premier Daniel Andrews with our local Member for Bentleigh Mr Nick Staikos attended an Assembly to announce a second campus for McKinnon.
This was an exciting announcement that will indeed change McKinnon forever.
I thanked them for their advocacy for public education, for investing in future provision for the many families moving into the area and also for their faith and belief in this community to deliver an exceptional education for the children in our care.
A wonderful gift and opportunity and a great legacy!
We will now begin discussions with this community – staff, students and parents to develop plans for our future!
Extensive collaboration will ensure all voices are considered so that the best educational decisions can be made about the use of the second campus.
Our commitment is to continue to do our very best to remain a school of excellence -a jewel in the crown for the Victorian Public Education system.
Along with Premier Daniel Andrews and the Member for Bentleigh, Mr Nick Staikos other guests today included Federal Member for Hotham Clare O’Neil, Mayor of Glen Eira Tony Athanasopoulos,  Executive Director for the Department, Bayside/Peninsula Area Simon Hamilton, CEO of Glen Eira, Rebecca McKenzie and staff and students of McKinnon Secondary College.
