Year 7 Visit Melbourne Zoo

On Friday 26 October, the Year 7s boarded buses and headed to Melbourne Zoo to continue our work on Classification in Science. In small groups, we walked through the Zoo finding information on various animals and taking so many photos that Rand’s storage became full.
Our group particularly enjoyed visiting the butterfly house, a tremendously humid jungle-like room full of butterflies that would land on our hands and Aleks’ head. The reptile house was also a highlight.
We got to see lizards, turtles, crocodiles, and Lucia’s favourite, snakes! At lunch, we returned to the grass area to eat and finish off our work.
We rounded off the day by going to the kiosk to buy some delicious ice-cream and relaxing by the interactive displays. A fun day was had by all.
