Arts Show - Opening Night

Our annual Arts Show was held on Thursday 8 November in our new, revamped and beautified Arts courtyard, which is now flanked by the newly completed Senior building.

Our extremely professional master of ceremony was school captain, Sienna Herterich (Year 12), Dr Joanne Sullivan, a professional artist, who studied Industrial Design at RMIT and completed a PhD in multimedia content design, officially opened our Arts Show. She commented very favourably about the standard of our student’s artworks and generally boosted the ego of both Arts students and Arts teachers alike! :)

Mrs Pryor was farewelled after 25 years at our school, with a beautiful speech by two of her students.

Musician Dustin Yu of Year 10, sang beautifully and created a wonderful backdrop to the viewing of the artworks. Along with the seven rooms of outstanding artworks in a vast array of media and styles, this year we even had a live mannequin. Well done Ally Joachim (Year 10) for taking a risk and wearing your stunning creation!

Congratulations to the students who received arts awards. They were chosen by their teacher for their excellence, creativity, hard work and diligence in both their practical work as well as their written work.

I would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing sponsorship:
  • Lewis Timber in Jasper Rd, who have continued to be extremely generous for the past 13 years
  • Buxton Real Estate for their board advertising the Arts Show

  • SSS Wholesale in NSW
  • Zart Art in Box Hill North
