Kummargee - Rise Up Program

On Friday the 17th of February, the Kummargee - Rise Up program held its official launch with a Welcome to Country, conducted by Kobi Sainty from the Bunurong Land Council, followed by a performance and presentation from Indigenous singer/songwriter, Scott Darlow. 

Formerly known as Survivor/MCK8 Challenge, the program has been renamed Kummargee - Rise Up to increase our engagement with Indigenous culture, where groups will be named by areas within Bunurong land and broader Victoria. 

The program is unique to Year 8 and boasts a variety of challenges across the arts, academics and athletics. Students complete in groups and as a form throughout the year to earn points towards the overall prize.
