Continuing the Tradition of Excellence

McKinnon Secondary College has a proud tradition of academic excellence and inspiring young people to achieve in all fields. Since 1954 the College has served the community by providing a rigorous educational program matched with a wide range of extracurricular activities, to develop students’ talents and prepare them to contribute to society.

The generous support of parents and ex-students (through the Thistlelonians) has enabled us to upgrade the educational resources of the College. The Alan Lawrence Lecture Theatre, our gymnasium and the newly-opened music facilities are examples of the excellent facilities we can provide when supported by members of the McKinnon community.

The School Council and all staff are committed to the ongoing development and refurbishment of our school. By making a tax-deductible donation to the McKinnon Secondary College Building Fund, you can assist us to provide the modern facilities our students deserve.

Architectural Plan

We have developed a vision for a modern McKinnon Secondary College. Our current development will include:
  • A new multi-level facility including science laboratories and general purpose classrooms, to replace ageing buildings
  • New toilets to replace those built in the 1950s
  • A VCE Study Centre designed to promote continued academic success, flexible enough to support a range of learning strategies
  • Student Wellbeing

All contributions to the McKinnon Secondary College Building Fund are tax-deductible. The School Council, staff and the wider McKinnon community are sincerely appreciative of all donations to the Building Fund. With your continued support we can ensure McKinnon continues its tradition of excellence.
