Year 8 Maths Survivor Challenge

On the 23rd of October the Maths Survivor leg of the Year 8 Survivor Program was run.This program involves all year 8 classes divided into 3 groups and it runs for 2 periods for each group.The students are required to solve 22 challenges, no calculators are allowed. It relies on the islands applying logical deduction to obtain the correct answer,
This year the students excelled with excellent scores coming from all 3 groups.
The overall winner this year was Jamaica with a score of 58, followed by Madagascar on 55, while in third place with a score of 54 was the Falkionds.
All islands displayed a great deal of enthusiasm and competitiveness.
