Swimming Carnival

It was a cloudy forecast for the 2015 edition of the Mckinnon Secondary College Swimming Carnival. Much more than just a swimming competition, this event is a real feast of physical activities. Water polo, Beach volleyball, Diving and new in 2015 was an outdoor table tennis competition.

All students immersed themselves in the activities in the attempt to gain house points. In the fashion stakes, Chisholm raced away to a great start winning the best dressed house. The theme this year was Superheroes and Villains. Safe to say the students and staff all put in super efforts with their costumes.

The swimming events were hotly contested early, and it was Gilmore doing the damage in the pool. Monash tried hard all day with some super talented swimmers and impressive wins in the Beach Volleyball. Flynn had some success in the Water Polo late in the day, but it was a bit late.

The only other highlight of the day was the MANKINNON dance off. Male staff members at Mckinnon are selectively chosen for a big dance off, and they did not disappoint again this year, wooing the crowd with a superbly choregraphed dance to UPTOWN FUNK. But it wasn't to be. Again, the Year 12 class of 2015 stepped up to the challenge and reclaimed the title. Could this be the end of mankinnon?

A massive thankyou to all the staff who assisted on the day, below is a list of results:
