The 2024 Kummargee - Rise Up Challenge Opening Ceremony

The 2024 Kummargee - Rise Up Challenge opening ceremony was held on Friday, the 23rd of February, with an engaging Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony conducted by Eric Edwards from the Bunurong Land Council.
The smoking ceremony was a powerful and meaningful way to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and to establish a connection with the community and the environment.
Following Eric, Indigenous singer/songwriter Scott Darlow performed and presented to the Year 8s, continuing the message of acceptance of all cultures.
