State Cross Country Championships 2017

Bundoora Park served up its annual dose of horrendous weather for yet another soaked State Cross-Country Championships. The 14 girls deserve particular credit for completing their race with the rain absolutely bucketing down sideways. The girls’ race kindly delivered a complete mudfest for the remaining races on the day.

A huge congratulations to all 15 runners who qualified for the day, a fantastic achievement in itself. Particular congratulations go to our elite performances from Year 12 superstar Will Ockenden who took out Bronze Medal in the Senior Boys event, May Landau from Year 8 finished 10th in the 14 Girls event, and Genevieve O’Brien from Year 9 who finished 11th in the 15 Girls event.
